Float to Survive

Float to Survive with GOswim!

GOswim Australia and Belgravia Leisure are excited to partner with Float to Survive Australia and Bondi Rescue’s Head Lifeguard, Bruce “Hoppo” Hopkins, where together, we’re focusing on strengthening the critical life-saving skill of floating for swimmers of all ages.

As we head into a summer of fun and water activities either at home, a day out or on a holiday, it’s crucial to stay safe in all types of waterways. Learning to float is a key skill that can save lives. Conserving energy and keeping you calm in an emergency, the Float to Survive technique can aid swimmers of all ages until help arrives. Whether you’re at the beach, lake, river, public or private pool, knowing how to float can make all the difference.

Join Us this December in GOswim Lessons

As part of Float to Survive with GOswim, the first five minutes of every GOswim lesson at Belgravia Leisure venues from the 1st to 14th of December will have an additional focus on strengthening the floating skill –  more than a basic swimming skill; a survival skill.

GOswim recommends the best way to ensure the whole family is prepared for a fun summer of water activities is to maintain consistent practice which helps to build on key skills.

This summer, take the opportunity to keep learning! Whether you’re at the beach, pool or by the river or lake, knowing how to float might just save your life.

Don’t miss out on this valuable learning opportunity in your December GOswim lessons, or enrol today to join the fun. Let’s get floating so we can all Float to Survive!
